It’s pretty amazing how long it takes to cut a square hole. Find the pencil, grab the square, mark the wall and begin the cut. That’s probably 3-5 minutes per square, depending on how much skill you have. What if you could just press a square to the wall and begin cutting? That’s essentially how the new Quadsaw works. This bad boy has 4 different saws that make up a square. They cut simultaneously providing you with a nice clean square.

Eliminate the whole measuring and cutting thing and use the Quadsaw to get it all done at one time. Apparently, it’s the first tool in the world to be able to cut a square hole. Quadsaw’s one limitation? It is designed to cut through plasterboard, so if you’ve got a stronger material, it might be back to the old ways. But hey, for those days when you have to cut the electrical boxes, this will save you quite a bit of time.
Created in the UK, the Quadsaw will cost $244 US and is available for pre-order now. It’s quite new and appears to only have UK socket sized blades. From what I understand, though, blades to match US sockets are in the works. You can read more at Quadsaw.com
