Re: What do the symbols mean next to the parts?
Each part has one of the following "unit types" associated with it. The symbols help you avoid mistakes and clarify the unit type quickly as you are scrolling through the part library:
Pieces: The simple quantity of an item, such as the number of toilets to be installed.
Lin. Feet: The length of an item, such as linear feet of base molding to be painted.
Sq. Feet: The area of an item, such as the square footage of a ceramic tile floor to be installed.
Cu. Yards: The volume of an item, such as the cubic yardage to be excavated for a foundation.
Hours: A time allowance for a task, such as hours of site preparation by a laborer.
Dollars: The direct cost allowance for an item, such as dollars of miscellaneous tools or a lump-sum subcontractor bid.
