Export project view table into excel or word
Hi Nolan, I can't remember if the project view tables can be exported into excel or work? If so, whats the procedure? If not, can I do it through .mdb method? Thanks, Howie

Re: Export project view table into excel or word
Hi Howie,
Tables can be exported into Excel, Word, PDF or Rich Text files. To do so, click the "Export Report" icon, an envelope with an arrow pointing straight down into it, near the top of the page. It is between the "Refresh" and "Zoom" icons, under the "Parts" button. Once you've clicked it, find the "Save as type" scrolldown menu at the bottom of the Save screen that pops up. Change to the document type you want, enter the name you want for the document, and take note of where you're saving the document before clicking Save. You'll be able to find your document in the format you selected there. Good luck!

Hi Howie,
Unfortunately, the formatting is not perfect when you export to Excel and some manual formatting is necessary to get it to look the way you want. The next Clear Estimates upgrade, however, will include a big improvement in this area!

Re: Export project view table into excel or word
Hi Howie,
We are aiming for an early 2010 release for Clear Estimates version 3.0. We are trying to maximize compatibility with other programs and make the program as intuitive as possible for beginning users, among other things. More information will be available as we get closer to the release date. We are working to get everything done as soon as possible. Have a great day!

Re: Export project view table into excel or word
Hi Jim, We have not set a date yet, but we have been playing around with version 3.0 for a little while now and have been very happy with the results. We are in the stage where we're checking everything ten times to make sure there aren't any glitches that will cause major problems when we release the upgrade to the masses. I am cautiously optimistic that we will release version 3.0 in the next couple months. Nolan and I will be discussing a lot in the next couple weeks, and hopefully I'll be able to give a firmer release date soon. I, for one, am excited to see what everybody thinks of the changes...
